With service and dedication at the forefront of everything McPherson does she has grown to be a passionate and self motivated individual. McPherson has previous experience in a range of industries which include consumer services, the nonprofit sector, professional services, and donor relations. In her academic courses she has learned key communication skills which have played a pivotal role in her career development. As a student assistant in the University of Oregon’s Advancement Office she has had to call on those skills to properly convey the university’s gratitude to their donors. McPherson hopes to continue to learn and evolve in hopes of making a positive impact on the world. McPherson hopes this blog continues to spread awareness for nonprofits and all the good that they do. While she specifically explores sports nonprofits in this blog she believes that having better awareness around nonprofits and all that they do will allow the nonprofit industry to continue to grow and flourish.
